Yay For Adapters

So...I've been sick all day and have been bored out of my mind...hence all the posts.

Anyway, back to my post.

I found my old setup from my Photography class in high school...

And then I found the Huge Lens Buck and I bought in Morro Bay for our photography classes at Cuesta College.

I decided to look up the lens...since we hadn't used it in a long time. I found out that the lens we have is specifically for a Nikon DSLR camera and can be used with my Nikon D90 with an adapter. It worked with my old Minolta because the camera is an automatic. So then I decided to take it one step further and see if the Minolta lens would work with my Nikon. Normally I wouldn't even consider this. It seems like there would be some kind of camera code/law about mixing camera brands. I was shocked to find out that with an adapter as well, I could use the Minolta lens on my Nikon. Not too sure how the pictures would turn out! But definitely worth a try. Then it occurred to me that these adapters must be super expensive and decided to look them up as well. Turns out their under 20 bucks and I would only need one for both lenses.

So, my blast from the past made me 2 lenses richer! YES!

Sadly my old flash doesn't work with my Nikon...no adapters for that!
